Shibori is crisp knife-edge folds in cotton or silk. In this workshop you will learn about the process of stitched shibori or stitch resist. By using various stitch lengths and spacing you can achieve surprising results. So much can be learned from the traditional patterns. This may all sound complex but quite the opposite. The complexity of the folds in many cases determines the outcome produced from the pattern stitched. We will explore shibori from many countries; India, Indonesia, Africa, and China. You will be provided all the materials needed from kit.
