Supplies Students Need To Have
One piece of lightweight linen in color of your choice that’s 2 yards long, cut approximately 16″- 18” wide, or whatever width you want for the finished scarf/shawl. Machine wash and dry the linen after you cut it in warm water to shrink it and let the edges fringe.
I like to buy the 3.5 ounce weight linen from https://fabrics-store.com/
if you want a heavier linen for a warmer scarf get the 5.3 ounce softened linen, it has beautiful drape and will snuggly soft after stitching.
